Welcome to Cedar Mesa!
Cedar Mesa Ranches, located in the Four Corners region of southwest Colorado, sits just north of US Highway 160, directly across from the entrance to Mesa Verde National Park. This 2,000-acre development comprises nearly 140 properties – ranging in size from five acres to nearly 50 acres. Each lot is buildable, has full underground utilities including water, and fronts on county roads maintained by the nonprofit Cedar Mesa Ranches Homeowners Association (CMRHOA). Currently, all properties have been purchased and primary residences or second homes have been constructed on more than half of the sites. Covenants monitored by the HOA restrict certain uses of the land in order to preserve the natural beauty, solitude, and overall environmental quality of the area.
Local terrain is mostly piñon / juniper and sage forest, situated at an average elevation of 7,000 feet, largely surrounded by Bureau of Land Management and state property. Wildlife abounds, including deer, elk, wild turkey, coyote, black bear, lynx, and mountain lion. The area is characterized by spectacular views of the La Plata Mountains, Mesa Verde's Point Lookout, Sleeping Ute Mountain, and Utah's Abajo Range. The close proximity to area attractions such as Mesa Verde, Ute Mountain Tribal Park, Hovenweep, and Canyon of the Ancients – as well as the towns of Durango, Mancos, Cortez, Dolores, Telluride, Ouray, and Silverton – make this community an excellent investment location, characterized by sunny, temperate weather, a wide variety of recreational choices, and a friendly western ambience.

CMRHOA Board of Directors Meetings
Board meetings are held at San Juan Technical College (west end entrance, first room on the right). Meetings usually take place the last Thursday of the month, beginning at 7 p.m. Please see the Calendar of Events for more details. All CMRHOA members are encouraged to attend.
In order to save postage, we prefer to e-mail our minutes to as many members as possible. The HOA info page now contains links to free Microsoft viewers to view these files if you do not already have Microsoft Word or Excel. Minutes, by-laws, covenants, and other documents also are posted on the HOA info page.
